  1. Pre-Dental
Now that acceptances start to roll out, I was wondering if current dental students can give some insights what we can do to prepare for dental school, specifically D1?

Thanks

Do things that you won't have the time to do in dental school (friends, family, travel). There will be plenty of time to study during school. Or maybe take up a hobby. Remember that made up BS in your personal statement and interview responses about how you love to build model airplanes, play musical instruments, etc.?

Absolutely nothing. Anything you can cover on your own will amount to a minuscule amount of information compared to what your first year will be. Relax and enjoy all the free time.

LOL, thanks for the input 🙂

I read a few business/management books and dentaltown practice management threads. You will learn the dental stuff in school, but not so much about practice management.

Thanks! I'm thinking of learning another language too, I'm debating between Spanish or French. Do you think it's worth it to pick up another language?

Spanish unless you are going to practice in Montreal or something.

You should probably go sit in some other country to learn the language well enough. I would make some money if you want to decrease your loans or live a little nicer. Use a temp agency if you can't find anything over $12 an hour on your own. A bio degree will get you $13-15/hr depending on the market.
