Hi you guys! I just joined the forums today and am already asking questions lol.

So heres my situation. Im transferring to CSULB from a CC and Im planning to receive a degree in Biochemistry in 2 years. I was wondering what I should be doing to make my pharmacy school application look good when I do apply. I know I should start racking up Internship hours, volunteering in research stuff, and making friends with potential LOR's.

Is there anything else I should do? I currently have a 3.5 GPA ( I did bad in my first year with C's in chem, not because it was that hard but because I was young and lazy haha. As of late I have been getting all A's in the higher Biology and Physics classes and plan to keep good grades from now on). If everything goes good Im thinking I might get somewhere from a 3.2-3.8 GPA by then. Does the fact that I go to CSULB instead of a UC affect my chances as well?

Thank you guys! looking forward to being a forum rat in the upcoming years 🙂

Look for the cheapest schools and make sure you do all their pre-reqs so you can get through school as cheap as possible.

Also research your school choice very well. I didn't do the same with UIC and after my first year, I cannot say good things about it anymore.
