I have a dilemma. This semester I am taking Algebra in order to qualify for Chem I during the spring of 2008.
If I take Chem II in the following Fall of 2008, that Will leave me with Organic I in Spring of 09. By then all my other prereqs will be finished, ie AP 1+2, Bio 1+2, Physics 1+2 etc, etc, leaving me with one lonely Org II class during the Fall of 09. That one lousy Algebra class in the Fall will set off a chain reaction that has the potential to delay my application for months!
The only solution to this is taking Chem II during the summer, so that I will qualify for Org 1 in the Fall of 2008, and Org 2 in Spring of 2009. That would give me all summer to work on applications.
I've read that many Pharmacy schools will not accept prereqs taken during the summer, especially in the core sciences. The last thing anyone wants is one summer class to ruin their chances. I think I'm screwed.
