As many of you know, I'm on a bunch of waitlists right now. A few of those schools require me to complete different courses before I matriculate. However, they are very different courses (humanities, first year science, or upper year science) so I couldn't start them anyway since I wouldn't know which ones I'd have to take. If they accept me in early May, I would have a chance at registering for them but I'm not sure if it's possible to complete them if I'm accepted in June.
Any suggestions regarding my position? Would a school rescind a June offer for me if I can't complete a course?

Sadly, yes.
Thanks for the reply
That's kind of scary
I can imagine finally getting an acceptance and then having lost it because of these courses

Would this be a good reason to call the school to ask about my waitlist rank?

No, because it just telegraphs your neediness and desperation.

This may be of the reason why you can't get past wait lists.

True
It's only 3 out of 6 schools that have courses I haven't fulfilled though
Plus it would be more reason for them to outright accept me since it would give me time to complete the courses

I would think, if you had put in the effort to take the missing course and then updated the school with your progress, it might help get you off a wait list or not get put on one if the first place.

So what, exactly do you plan to do if you do get off a wait list and have no time to take the course? That's gonna really suck.

I agree with Toutie. The schools were probably waiting on you to update them with grades in the course they've been waiting on.
Why did you not take any of them this past year?
How did you fill out AMCAS? Did you list any of these pre-reqs as courses you were planning to take?

Some colleges have a really short Summer I term running from June to Mid-July, you might be able to do your classes then. But you will need to register now!

Thanks for the advice everyone
My dilemma is that one school requires two semesters of first year physics, another requires two semesters of english, and another requires a semester of upper year physics
I'm prepared to take them for an individual school but it wouldn't be possible to do all of them.

Wait...so you never took either semester of physics? And you didn't take two semesters of a humanities course? I'm confused...

I used an AP credit for physics and Hopkins requires 8 semesters of humanities courses

Oh I see...sounds rough, OP. Can you register for all of them now at a community college and if you get pulled off a WL prior just withdraw from the others? Also maybe send an update telling them how committed you are to attending their program or something and say you have undertaken X prereq?

I could probably register in these courses until mid May but my concern is if I get accepted in June or later
Even if I'm in all of them now, I have to decide which ones to take by mid May if I don't get an acceptance

I suppose it might be worth sending an update letter telling them that I'm committed to taking the courses though

It sucks taking classes that may not be necessary, but you just need to do it. I have completed all prereqs for the school I am currently accepted to, and would have only had to take one class this semester needed for graduation. But I signed up for and am taking 4 other classes that make me eligible for all the schools I had interviewed at. If i end up going to the first school and not needing the extra classes, that's fine, no harm done. Just take the classes spring term.

Why did you wait until now to start worrying about this issue. I could understand it if you needed one class but you need five classes ?

For each school, I'll need 1-2 courses but the problem is that they're different courses
Earlier in the cycle, I was hoping that one of these schools would accept me so I knew which courses I'd have to take
It'd be very manageable if I got an acceptance before mid May

IIRC you are a 3 time applicant, correct? You mean to tell me after 2 unsuccessful cycles you applied to schools you did not meet requirements for...and then have made absolutely no effort to take those courses in the past year? And then you wait until the last minute to consider doing so? Honestly, you deserve to be waitlisted. smh...

schools have some fairly weird requirements. It would not make any sense at all for someone with a science degree low in humanities to take a bunch of humanities credits just for off chance of a Hopkins waitlist prior to a cycle, for example.

I am kind of in the same boat. Except I only have one class to take for one school. I am lucky that I have another acceptance if it were to come late summer and I could not take the class, but I hope the best for you!

Yes I applied more broadly this year which included these schools that I didn't meet the requirements for
I am taking a course right now but it's difficult with a full time job
And as @throk stated, some schools have weird requirements that would be difficult to cover completely
