Hi, Everyone

Sorry in advance if this is asked to death, but I'm looking for advice on pharmacy school admission and feel like I'm drowning in information. I have experience working clinically, in research labs, in addition to as a pharmacy aide filling prescriptions.

Anyway, here goes:

I graduated this past May from a state school (in Virginia) with a degree in bio and a 3.58 GPA. However, I did not take biochemistry, anatomy and physiology (either semester of it), public speaking, or an ethics course. None of these courses were required for my major, or for applying to the graduate programs I was looking at at the time (neuroscience). I've gotten a couple of books to study for the PCAT and I hope to apply for the next cycle (have my application in by the year 2014 and matriculate 2015 if all goes well).

What is the cheapest and quickest way in which I can gain these prerequisite courses? FWIW, I am a NYS resident. Is it possible to take all of the required courses and apply during my desired application cycle?

Courses I have taken and grades:

Hard to find a quality school that does not require Anatomy/Physiology. You can get away with not taking biochemistry, public speaking, and ethics, but you will need to take AP at perhaps at community college in your area? It is the cheapest way in my opinion. I have heard rumbles of online AP classes, but take those at your own risks.

I graduated from va tech as a business major and still had to go another two years just to complete the prereqs. Im surprised that you didnt have to take public speaking, I thought every major had to do that now. You definitely need stat, calc, econ, and 6-8 hours of anatomy/phys for most schools. Thats pretty much standard for every pharm school. Biochem, some schools require some dont, but i would recommend it b/c I didnt take it and its way more difficult than ochem, but thats me.
