Hey guys,

I’m a bit farsighted and switch off between glasses and lenses equally depending on how tired or dry my eyes feel.
I’m not sure whether to get prescription loupes or not...what would you recommend? Thanks

I think you might need to get two sets (one prescription, one normal) or lasik. It’s gonna be hard to judge which days you want to wear glasses or contacts. Better be prepared for both.

I have Q-Optics loupes. When I ordered them during first year, they included prescription inserts for free. Basically it's a lens at my prescription that attaches to the nose pad. I can easily switch between glasses and contacts if I need to. If I'm being honest though, I mainly just wear contacts now for convenience lol

I have two sets. One prescription, one non. When I wear contacts- i use my non prescription. When I wear glasses- I use my prescription ones.

Just buy two sets of loupes. Doesn't hurt. Plus you have a back-up if you break one or one needs to be repaired, or loses one etc. You should always have a backup pair of loupes.

I wear contacts and thus have loupes that have no prescription which works fine for me because I don't want to have to carry around my glasses and switch between them and my loupes multiple times per day. But on the same token, I just have to hope and pray that I never have any issue that prevents me from wearing contacts for any amount of time.

So like others have said, would probably be beneficial to have a pair that has prescription and one that doesn't.

Interesting, so is that like an insert that you clip/flip on whenever you need it?
