"Previously applied" - official definition

1) On AMCAS, do you mark "previously applied" only if you've submitted a secondary in previous years?

2) Vanderbilt only gives secondaries out to those who interview. Do you mark "previously applied" if you sent a primary to Vandy in previous years?
 
If you submitted any primary applications, that's "previously applied." Same deal with Vandy, if you submitted a primary, that's "previously applied to Vandy."
 
If you sent your AMCAS to that school than you applied to that school. It doesn't matter if they sent you a secondary or not.

For Ooglan, you probably should call the admissions offices to which you applied and tell them of the misunderstanding. You don't want them to think you are hiding something from them. Good Luck.
