EK if you have a solid background, if not i guess kaplan. EK is concise and only talks about stuff thats gonna be on the test, but you will need some background knowledge not to get lost.
 
Im assuming Campbells bio...I do agree on that , the only problem is that you are going to have to figure out which chapters to go through, but campbells bio is the standard.
 
Does it matter at all which edition of Campbell's book?
I'm debating between 1999, 2001, and the newest one with significant price differences.
 
hmmm..well if you can afford the new edition then you should get it, but most likely 95%-98% of the stuff is the same, there might be some minor changes in the genetics section most likely. Then again if you study from the older section you will be fine. Your choice.
 
FYI: when I took the MCAT, I referred to an actual textbook maybe 5 times.

Everything else was PR. Don't spend too much wading through Campbell.
