I attended a sports medicine team physician conference this weekend and met a physician associated with a sports med fellowship in Baton Rouge, LA. It seems like a good program. He is looking for one more fellow for 2010-2011 so I offered to post it here in case anyone was interested. Thanks.

Here is the info on their website:

Primary Sports Medicine Fellowship in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Associated with LSU Athletics.

There is one spot left for 2010-2011.

The Baton Rouge General's Sports Medicine Fellowship gives physicians first-hand experience in caring for a variety of sports medicine activities, including sideline care of athletes at Louisiana State University and several large high schools in the area. With a focus on comprehensive sports medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, prolotherapy, injections, and many other procedures, fellows will work with prominent orthopedic surgeons and other related sub-specialties.

We accept applications from residents who have completed their residency training in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

The program director is the head team physician for LSU and is a well know speaker and practitioner in the sports medicine community.
