Hi everyone. I am currently using Dr. Collins as my primary study tool for the biology section. I also have both Princeton review's cracking the PCAT and Kaplan's PCAT (both 2014). Which of these two do you guys feel like would be a better option for a supplement to the Dr. Collin material? For microbiology, it's for sure princeton review as the better option because kaplan's microbiology portion is lacking lots of essential information. But besides microbiology, which would be the better source to review biology as a whole? Dr. Collins is great with everything but I am concerned that Dr. Collins does not provide exactly all the details we are required to know for the PCAT. What do you guys think?

Thank You

i didnt use princeton but i used kaplan bio + dr collins practice tests for bio. I only skimmed thru dr collins bio section once and just focused on kaplan.

Did you also use the 2 Kaplan full-length practice tests that came with the book? I used them but I am unsure as to how they actually compare in difficulty to the real PCAT. Kaplan is good it has a ton of information but its about narrowing down to what is actually required to be studied which makes Dr. Collins my preferred study choice.

It's up to you, i feel like kaplan bio book wasnt even enough to be honest. After reading kaplan once or twice, you know which area you need to focus on and maybe take some notes to strengthen your weakness. After a couple of thorough reading, it only takes me an hours to reread the bio section.

Yes, i used kaplan full-length practice tests. I used kaplan full length tests, and pearson practists tests and i score similarly in all of them. As well as the real PCAT.
I personally think PCAT is more difficult though compared to practice tests
