I've hear a lot of good stuff about the Kaplan Course/Online Course. However, someone handed me a Princeton Review brochure at school...they also prepare students (about $100 cheaper).

Has anyone taken the Princeton Review Course...if so, how was it?

I thank you ahead of time.

eh? princeton review has dat course. they didn't have it back in '03.

I didn't know princeton review has a dat course either. Personally, I'd go w/ kaplan b/c it's tried and true. Pretty much everyone on SDN used kaplan's resources in one form or another. It's going to be expensive either way, so do you think the $100 is worth the peace of mind of knowing that you're getting a product that produces good results?

ruben22: You may be confusing it with the Princeton Review (PR) for MCAT.
I actually join both PR and Kaplan when I studied for MCAT in San Jose California. The situation might be different for different states, so please keep that in mind as I tell you about my experience.

I thought PR has better teachers because they had different teacher for each section, whereas Kaplan has one teacher that teach all the material. However, Kaplan has a more comprehensive and dedicated library of test materials than PR. This library is only as good as how you much you are dedicated to sit yourself at the site.

As far as I've ever heard anywhere, Kaplan is the only prep company that offers DAT review. If you want to know more about how to study for it, and/or what kind of material to use, then keep browsing this site, and don't let other people's high score discourage you because everyone on SDN are nerd freaks. They are all nice nerd freaks too, so have fun. Keep posting.

Princeton review usually has much better classes than Kaplan, but Kaplan has better sample question. So if i had the money and time i would do both, but if i have to choose one i would do Kaplan because soon or later you are going to realize that it is all about studying yourself with good resources

A friend of a friend of mine had a copy years ago. He said it was very close to the real DAT. I was trying to get a copy, but couldn't. Where did you get your copy? Can you share with us? I'd like to purchase a copy. I may need to re-take my DAT.

I wasn't given the actual "workbook", just a brochure with information about the cost of the course.
