I notice that some DO schools like kcumb and dmu require biochem. I want to take it at a local university. There is principles of Biochem 320 and Biochem 440. Will either of these work? Also I made a D in organic chem lab. I have to retake it. Will I have to retake it at the university at which I originally took it?

I have a related question. Do you need biochem prior to applying or can you apply without it and get in, then take the class the summer before 1st year?

For your question Yes. They have to be completed before you matriculate. You can still apply.

It depends. For example, my school has "Principles of Biology," which is not the same as "General Biology." If the school you go to simply labels Biochem as "Principles of Biochem," you should be safe. Otherwise, it would be safest to take a real biochem course.

SDN can be good for many things but for a question like this I would recommend you talk directly to the schools of interest to get an answer. You don't want to get a wrong answer on here and then be out of luck and wasted time and money.
