Hey,
I just have a ques for those taking practice tests...do you print them out on paper or do you take them on screen?

The reason I'm asking is b/c I'm broke and can't afford to print out all the exams (just a few). So I think I'll just take them online (via my account on AAMC website).

Do you guys do this? For those of us taking it via paper in August, would it be alright if we practice on screen?

Thanks!!!!!

PRINT THEM. Your eyes have to be trained to the paper not to the screen, unless you are taking the CBT. I know it is a lot of pages, but cant you go to your library at School and print them for free or something. It is IMPORTANT for you to take it on paper.

I did both and found that the printed version helps you to prepare better. you can still punch in your scores and analyze your error trends etc.., so there's no real benefit to practicing on the computer.

You can print them out at Staples. Just bring a memory card thing with the tests and I think it's cheaper than a regular copy price of 8 cents. Even at that price, it should be about 6 bucks. Better to simulate the real deal.

Unless you're taking the CBT, definitely print them. I used to do them on the computer because I was cheap and wanted to save paper, but it became a hassle. If you want to use any test-taking methods that Kaplan recommends, for example, it's best to print them out so you can make your notes, etc.

If you're taking it in August, definitely print them. You want your practice exams to simulate test conditions as much as possible not just for peace of mind, but to try out your own notation system.

Luckily, I was able to kill trees at my campus library for free this spring. If you don't have similar printing access, just bite the bullet and pay for it at a copy center. What's a few more dollars compared to the application and interviewing costs you'll be facing soon enough? Trust me, it's well worth it.
