I wouldn't recommend studying for your 1st PRITE exam because your program director really wants to see that your scores improve over the 4 yrs of residency. Save your test books and answer keys (they're returned to you with your scores), then use the test questions to study for the exam the next year. In my experience, >60% of the questions are directly from the previous year's exam and many others are similar enough.

I guess if your program gives cash prizes for top scores, then I guess all bets are off, but generally improvement is highly regarded.

any other good sources of practice questions for the PRITE?

GinnyWC is pretty on. The Mass General book, and the sadock book questions are really all anybody ever does - besides the old PRITES. I do have this written psychiatry board review book given out as from a drug rep that some people also use. It comes in a binder. I'll have to find it though. Too many books around here. There's a link to the Mass General book in the psych books sticky.

are there any good review sources/practice questions to brush up on neuro besides old PRITE exams)?

The Clinical Neurology for Psychiatrists book by Kaufman has a lot of practice questions that are typical psych boards style. They are therefore applicable to the PRITE.

October-ish

Don't sweat it--the goal is to have a low score in year one so you can show improvement each year! Nothing worse for the old ego than seeing a decline between yr 2 & 3 (like I did!).
