Is it possible to work PRN for different independents ?
For eg you contact all independents in your area and let them know you are available anytime there is a requirement for a shift. So one day you may cover a shift at pharmacy Y and the next week you cover a shift at pharmacy X
Obviously this is a desperate situation where you are unemployed and can’t land a stable job with retail
How will it work ? Any ideas ? Anyone here done something like this ?
Thanks

Well for starters, don't market yourself as desperate, maybe market yourself under a creatively named "relief Pharmacist services firm", act supremely professional, and just maybe you can build up enough clients to make a nice living.

That is going to depend on the independent. As long as they aren't across the street from each other, probably most independents wouldn't care.

This is dumb advice.

Everyone knows that relief Rph companies only hire incompetent pharmacists that should've retired already.

If you are a good pharmacist, why would you not want to use the other independent as a reference?
The skillset required to be effective in indy is wildly different than corporate.

Most of the "I fill 700 scripts with two techs in an eight hour shift" CVWalgreens pharmacists would be getting fired by me within a month.

If an owner hears, "yeah, X works for me a few days a week. He's good" it's better for you than anything else.
