During an interview...would you guys say the interview is more successful if they dont talk about your grades, or your DAT, or anything academic? Like if they just ask you standard things and its just more of a conversation?...cuz my stats are not great by any stretch of the imagination and I haven't had one interview where they bring up grades in certain classes, or scores on the DAT, etc...there has to be a way to figure these people out hahaha....good luck to everyone!!:luck:

I think if they like you, its a successful interview. I mean, in my case I was never asked about my academic performance although I was asked about my most difficult course when I visited UMich. If you're concerned about your GPA then come up with an explanation to why you performed in such a way.

I know at Case, my interview was pretty structured but conversational too. So it varies from school to school and I don't think the style indicates how close you are at getting in. But if you have NOTHING wrong with your app, then they can't ask you much, right?

A key hint that it went well.... "From your responses, you should be able to handle a dental school curriculum" or something to that degree.

I think you are right. Everyone invovled knows how you did on the DAT GPA etc. The majority of my interviews have been about my unique family life/upbringing. Only once was I asked,
"You did great on the DAT, how did you prepare".

I honestly felt like they were making sure I wasn't the socially inept nerd that my grades suggest. In fact, I think they were surprised that I had some "rock n roll" in me.
