I have been able to shortlist only five programs so far and would like to apply to them. There is $75 fee which should cover upto 10. Would I be able to apply to five more later without more fees?

From what I read in the "MyERAS User Guide".....yes. You will not be charged extra unless you go over the "10", regardless if you apply to more programs later.

So does that mean you can apply to more programs at a later date without having to dish out another $70 to transmit your usmle transcript to them?

The $70 fee includes as many USMLE transcripts and retransmissions as you'd like. You pay it once only.
