Very sad. I was working on some research, 1 st author, my professor, 2nd author. Prof. died and I don't know whether it is okay to present poster? It was prof.'s idea, but I put it together and conducted entire research without prof. So sad...

any thoughts are appreciated!

You are the first author? Did he have a chance to review what you will be presenting? To me this sounds like a chance to honor his memory (provided the work rises to his or her standards which you should have a good idea of). He/she would probably want you to present your research... If it were me I might bounce it off another professor at your institution first, but I'd probably present it and make sure to credit and mention the profs contribution as you discuss it.

This happened at our school and the student who presented their work when working with the professor that passed did exactly what PsySeeker has suggested. Sorry for your loss!

Thank you. I appreciate your thoughts. Makes a lot of sense. Now, I have to finish...feels like grief work

I have a quick follow up question: not sure how to indicate the teacher's death on the actual poster. I would like to make it known and honor the contribution etc. that came from that person. So far, I came up with the idea to put the DOB/DOD (19.. - 2013) behind the name under the title. Any thoughts?
