i have around a 70 average and i am petrified that i will have to retake the class. my class average is around a 74 and 40 percent of class dropped. professor said he WILL NOT CURVE. what do i do im

Well, I think your options are pretty clear.
1. Drop.
2. If it is too late to drop, try your best on the remaining assignments to improve your grade.
3. Following 2., retake if necessary.

*Edited to add that if the class average is around a 74, that's a normal distribution. The professor shouldn't curve.

Visit with the professor, live in the library when you aren’t sleeping, in class, at work or volunteering, and own the rest of the course. It’ll make the class one of your favorites most likely, and it can make a great story for interviews, tell of a time you overcame [insert struggle, obstacle, etc.]. “Well one time I had a class that was very difficult, but I blah blah blah...”.
You got this!

A lot of schools make the pre reqs weed out classes for professional school. They figure if you can't do well in the class you won't do well in professional school. Pretty much all you can do is chain yourself to a desk if you want to go to professional school.
