HI yall,

I am looking for some advice. Does anyone know of any open rad onc resident positions for transfer or programs that have accepted transfers in the past? Any information or advice would help. Thanks in advance!

A good place to start are the hellpits. They are always looking for a warm body. Going there is a different question. I would try to focus on your application and see if you can get into a better program.

Calling programs just because they’re newer or have fewer residents “hellpits” is really not it.
Even though you might mean that those programs have less resources, when you say it, it comes off at the residents training at those programs aren’t gonna be great rad oncs which everyone knows that’s not true.
So next time, be mindful before throwing so many hard working residents under the bus

I stand by everything i said. I have been saying this for years. I want you to train at a better program. Those spots should go to better places, not be somewhere for cheap labour and little education. These places should not be training people. and im sorry you went through that. I read the thread you posted a few months ago with your concern with too many consults and little time to think. There are multiple places like this. It sucks to have to teach yourself rad onc from ASTRO refreshers and lectures suck, your peers fail boards. People live this, whether you want to admit it is a different question. The reality is this should not be happening and I will never stop saying this. Not sorry at all.
