Hey, I'm a newbie MSIII. I was just wondering where everyone is getting their information about how each peds program does in rankings. What are the top 10 programs? And where does UNC peds fall in the rankings?

I have a copy somewhere... I think UNC was #18 or so (the list I saw was the top 25). If you search under this board with "Hopkins", "Stanford", and "Baylor" you should find it. There is also a list out there of the top Children's hospitals. But, honestly, keep in mind that just because someone out there said a school is great/wonderful doesn't mean that it is great/wonderful for you. I ranked several "non-top-25" schools over the "#1" school just for that reason. FWIW, I interviewed at UNC and was very impressed. LOVED the new hospital. But one interviewer there really turned me off (he was concerned about my step one score - and didn't believe me that the averages had changed since I'd taken it - in 1998). Otherwise, I really liked them and ranked them quite high. I matched to a school above them, though.
