programs in KY

How are the programs in U of Kentucky and U of Louisville? I noticed their names are not even in the interview list everyone puts together. They are university programs, at least. Not great locations. How are these two programs compared to UT memphis in terms of resident training? Any info? Thanks.

i've heard overall positive comments about louisville, but, like you mentioned, not great locations, so i didn't apply.

Anybody know about U of KY?

UK has an excellent pathology residency program, comparable to many of the more popular southeast programs (MUSC, UNC, Emory, Vandy, UVA). People from outside of the area seem to consider Kentucky as a less-than-optimal location. I'm not sure why, since Lexington is a wonderful place to live. I went there for medical school, and I wanted to branch out for residency. I would have been perfectly content and very well trained if I had stayed there.

I have heard mixed things about Louisville.
