Are you kidding dude? Did you even look at any other threads in this forum? Like maybe this one? Where the exact same question was asked (about a hojillion times) and answered (several times, usually by the always calm, well-informed aPD).

Do some homework man...no need to make my alma mater look worse than it already does.

TL;DR...chill man.

The question is why SOME, not all, programs did not download the transcript despite it was retrieved EARLIER by other programs. Related, I can see some programs download the transcript from 10 minutes to many hours after the rest of the application. aPD says it's a random event but it's weired - should not the system be deterministic?

It looks like retrieving the transcripts requires either another click or the system tries to be frugal in network trafic and does not retrieve parts of an application that is invisible due to some filter, such as missing ECFMG certificate or year of graduation.

It's because the programs last checked the files before your USMLE transcript was uploaded.

Not sure how true this is. All my stuff were uploaded. But the program only downloaded part of my app (PS and not my photo).

So...what is the DDx for this situation?

1. They hate you.

2. They got halfway through your app and were laughing so hard at it that they couldn't take any more and stopped downloading it.

3. They started downloading and then, partway through, something happened on one side of the connection or the other and it didn't complete (the network choked, somebody tripped over the power cable, the IT drones forced an upgrade/restart on everybody's machine, th PC got bored forgot what was going on and shut down the computer mid-download, dingos ate your data).

It will get downloaded the next time someone logs on. Relax.

Haha, I think you overreacted to my response.

I'm just trying to say that just because a particular part of my app was uploaded, it won't mean the program will download it when they update their files. In my case, my PS and ERAS photos were both uploaded at the same time. However, when I recheck the status, only one of the two were downloaded (despite both being available in the post office). It was my way to calm the OP.

I was in no way trying to add fuel to the fire.

EDIT: Also, I was quoting the poster above me to point out that what he/she said isn't always the case.

4. Maybe they have new software (R3) that can apply filters online, before the whole application is downloaded. Saves network traffic. If PD want YOG <= 5, why would it download USMLE transcripts of someone whose YOG > 5?

Though (3) seems most likely, i.e. PD decides he just doesn't want to wait and shuts R3 down.

Not that it matters much. Just mental masturbation🙂
