Programs that don't mention whether the preliminary spot is designated or not.

Some programs in ERAS clearly mention there's a non-designated preliminary spot being offered, while most just say "Preliminary". So these programs that don't make the distinction, which type of prelim are they offering? Or will I have to contact every program individually to find out?
