Hey, everyone!

I am starting to get desperate. I've been rejected, deferred, and wait listed so far. I'm worried that none of my last 3 options are going to work out.

Can anyone tell me programs that are still in their application period? Anywhere in the US is fine, I just need suggestions.

Thank you and good luck to everyone!

I know that West Virginia University's deadline isn't until February 15. However, it is meant to be a 2+3 program. You can apply with a bachelor's degree but it will still take 3 years to complete. You would end up with a second bachelor's degree plus the MOT. They have some extra prerequisites though, so it may not work if you haven't taken those classes. Program would start this June.

Dominican University's deadline is Feb 1, where all materials have to be postmarked by then. (Which effectively makes it 1/31, since 2/1 is on Sunday.)

Your stats look good! Is this your first year applying? I'm guessing that there were so many qualified applicants in comparison to the number of seats given.. I am also in your shoes and have been wait listed. I only have a few other options left and I'm starting to get anxious.

Wow your stats look amazing! Now I'm nervous I will not get in anywhere.

This is my first year applying. I did retake two prerequisites in the fall semester and brought them from C's to B+ and A. The decisions were all made before I finished the semester, even though I told them about it.

It's so frustrating 🙁

Where are you wait listed at?

AT still.. I'm sorry to hear that the school did not take into account that you were trying to raise your grades. It's very frustrating when you're qualified for a spot and there's so much people that are as well. So discouraging! But, I hope that you will gain acceptance to one of your schools. If by chance you don't, what are you plans for the upcoming year? I'm still trying to get my head around this possibility...

My wait list school is Murphy Deming in Virginia. I liked it there and the people were great, but I can't say I was totally in love with it. I interviewed first at Belmont in Nashville. I really, really loved it. But I was rejected. 🙁

I'm looking at joining the Mercy Volunteer Corps. They have placements in different US cities and one in Guyana, South America. I went to Guyana two years ago and will be returning in March. But I found a site in Baltimore, MD that is perfect for me. It is an organization that works with adults that have developmental challenges. Looks at getting them employment and teaching them life and social skills. Plus my sisters both moved to that city. Its honestly perfect considering my prior experiences.

Have you thought about it at all?

Yes, I have considered a MS in nursing before (I already have the pre reqs done). I think that if I don't get accepted this year into a program, I would try one more year and gain more experience in other settings and possibly taking courses to boost my GPA before I apply one final time. I'm hoping that it won't be the case but you never know since the field is getting so competitive.

Well, at least you have a solid back up plan!

It's so tough. I keep talking to more and more people with great (or at least decent) stats that can't get in to any school. It's discouraging.

I know. I'm very discouraged at this point.. I've been looking into other schools as well but, finance wise, it gets so expensive
