Prometric Test Center Rules

Are there any special rules that anyone has come across at a prometric test center?
Jackets allowed?
Headphones provided?
Can you write on the scratch paper sheet before the button to begin is clicked and test time starts or
During breaks?
Can you wipe the scratch paper sheet clean with your sleeve? I've heard of people using their spit and sleeve to do this.
Can you really not touch the screen? Why?
Any other different experiences?
What do you do if your computer is messing up? Try to finish and tell them at the end or just stop and tell them immediately?

Thanks!

It depends on your center. I would contact them ahead of time to ask any questions that you have.

For my center:
jackets - idk
headphones provided - yes
scratch paper before button - no
during the break - yes
scratch paper clean - idk
screen touching - no

I wouldn't recommend testing out "will doing this get me the boot from the exam" during the DAT. If you are curious, ask beforehand, or just refrain. Especially if the action is explicitly forbidden by the DAT rules. If the computer is messing up, I would just immediately tell them. I highly doubt that will occur. Only odd experience for me is that they moved my test up by 2 hours the day before. That was irritating, because my sleep schedule was based on when I was going to begin my test.

I was wearing a hoodie but didn't bring my jacket, less pockets means a faster check in, which can be really important if you need to use the bathroom mid section.

Sound proof headphones were provided. At my center you couldn't write on the boards until the exam started but I've had friends who have said they weren't restricted, I'd say it may vary between centers. They told me the pens given were permanent, but that was nonsense, they easily wiped away with my hands. I routinely had them swap them out unless I was nearing the end of a section. By the end of the test my hands were covered in marker.

Can't remember if I wasn't allowed to touch the screen, feel like it wasn't explicitly said. The break after the PAT was unexpected too, I don't remember the specific time they gave me but it was quite long, and I had no restriction, I could have left and driven to get lunch if I really wanted to.

Earplugs yes. headphones they provide but they suck. I ended up taking out all noise blocking stuff it made me too distracted.
You can erase just don't use your spit that's disgusting. My hands got really sweaty and I erased using that. I could touch the screen but not write during the tutorial. All these questions have been answered before.

For my center:
Jackets allowed- no wear long sleeves

Headphones provided- noise cancelling headphones and foam ear plugs. I wore both because people can be surprisingly loud.

Can you write on the scratch paper sheet before the button to begin is clicked and test time starts or
During breaks- Before the test starts, you are not supposed to write on it. I'm not sure about breaks, but I didn't find the need to write on it during the break because it was just reading comprehension and QR. I had extra time at the end of the science section, I took that time to write out all my charts I needed to take the PAT.

Can you wipe the scratch paper sheet clean with your sleeve? I've heard of people using their spit and sleeve to do this.- No, when you get to the last page of a pad, raise your hand for another one. My center did not want you wiping off your work.

Can you really not touch the screen? Why?- No, they do not want your hands near the screen. I'm not sure if it's because they see it as cheating or if they are preserving their equipment.

Any other different experiences?- Follow every direction to a T. Do not give them a reason to have to talk to you. I feel that this made my testing experience go a lot better.

What do you do if your computer is messing up? Try to finish and tell them at the end or just stop and tell them immediately?- Immediately, do not wait at all.
