..but I'm bored at work on this lovely Sunday night so, chance me please!

I took the DAT for the first time last December and received the following (rather embarassing) scores:
20 PAT / 16 BIO / 15 GC / 17 OC / 19 QR / 19 RC / 16 TS / 17 AA

I just recently retook the DAT and received the following scores:
22 PAT / 19 BIO / 21 GC / 20 OC / 19 QR / 21 RC / 20 TS / 20 AA

My GPA's are what scares me the most (one really bad semester - 2.38 - destroyed my GPAs): oGPA 3.33, sGPA 3.22, BCP 2.97😱, non-science 3.52.

I shadowed 2 dentists (a father and a son) both of which graduated from Temple (one of them wrote me a LOR). I also have good LOR's from my pre-dental advisory committee, and 3 additional ones (2 science profs, 1 non-science prof).

I attended a BIG 10 school and have 500+ volunteer/E.C. hours for the largest student-run philanthropy in the world (really focused all of my time on this and school, so I don't have any other major extracurriculars). I have 32 hours of dental observing and plan to do more during my gap year this year.

I applied very broadly to 17 schools... 5th batch, app almost complete (only waiting for my new DAT scores to be uploaded). Do you think I could atleast land a few interviews? Thanks for your input!

i see that you're from PA..temple will def. give you a look. idk about pitt. i've heard they're a bit tougher, but your DAT is solid.

you'll def have some interviews, and it's clear that you applied broadly. good luck to you

edit: i just read that you're waiting for DAT scores to be uploaded. you're cutting it close bud. had you applied with these stats a month ago or earlier, you def. would've had some interviews by now. worst comes to worst you have a year off before next cycle (you def. don't need a DAT retake), or if you have the means to, enroll in a smp to boost your credentials.

yeah I am a little nervous about being "late" as well, but I made sure to contact all of the schools to which I applied to let them know of my DAT retake. 7 of them accepted the unofficial score report so they've had them for about a week now... but hopefully my scores get uploaded to my app soon!

Your entire application is very similar to mine, only real difference I see in the whole thing is my BCP gap. My application went out 4th batch but had one LOR go out 6th batch but I am still waiting to hear back on an interview.
