Providing immunizations during COVID

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
We never stopped providing vaccinations and only 1 n95 is provided plus unlimited masks, no ppe

flu shot season starts next month!

we have face shields and are required to use a surgical mask (no cloth masks). Pt can wear a cloth mask and must pass temp check

Never stopped but corporate at least stopped pushing us to sell them. Now we're entirely back to pre-covid immunization goals.

We were all provided 1 n95 back in March/April but nothing else.

Of course we're giving immunizations, why wouldn't we?

I've heard of a couple floaters in my area who refused for a few weeks. They're rationale was that doctors weren't providing non-essential services face to face so they shouldn't have to give vaccines.

Yes all stores are doing immunizations. One store is doing around 40-50 shots per week. A couple other stores are doing 20-30 per week. A few are averaging around just 4 or 5 per week. Shingrix is fully stocked.

Doctors are definitely providing immunizations

My PCP was only doing virtual appointments for the past several months. I would have been very impressed if they could give immunizations virtually.

i am comfortable giving them. i've only done several shingles vaccines. what motivates me the most to do them now is getting some shingles out of the way before flu shots start. shingles wouldn't be that big of a deal if you didn't have to stand there and reconstitute it.

i had a relief rph tell me she wouldn't do a vaccine cause she's like "it's not 6 feet apart" and she had this "duh!" attitude about it.

Pharmacist in retail are bound to get infected once* a Covid vaccine comes out (d/t all the asymptomatic people that will be coming in to get immunized)

*IF

that'll be good for the new grads though, maybe they'll hire new pharmacists when the vaccine comes out hehee:diebanana:

Imagine giving the Inovio vaccine (not that it will actually work or be approved). Are they going to lease that garbo delivery device?

Not in my district . There re pushing it like never before . They put our weekly target at 15..

I also see an increased demand for Tdap...Seniors and random people (non preganant) started to ask about Tdap....
