Does anyone know if psych professors would qualify as "science" profs for writing rec letters? Thanks so much!

Does not count. An exception could be if you were a Psychobiology major and got it from one of the professors in your upper level courses, but to simply put it, the answer to your question is no.

If you had an upper level neuroscience course it could probably count. Otherwise- nope.

No.

Psych = Social Sciences, which includes Sociology & Anthropology as well.

I used my Biological psych prof. as one of my science recommeders. I was planning on using him as a non-science if need be.. However, I already had another non-science recommendation. I didn't have any probs with that as one school used him to fulfil my science recommendation requirement.

How many letters from science profs do we need? I think most schools only want one, but some want two... is this right?

No, a majority of schools require 2 science, 1 non-science. Some may even have additional requirements from work, volunteer, research, etc.

No, but they do count as a pseudoscience profs for letter writing which is like 1/3 a science prof. Get 3 and you're good to go 👍
