psych residency at columbia and NYU?

Is it difficult to get into psych residency at columbia or nyu? how many are accepted each year? what are the stats of those that get in?

both are quite competitive given their location and names. although i believe columbia is somewhat more competitive and ivy-happy. nyu takes a larger number of residents, if i'm not mistaken. maybe someone else wants to comment on stats.

I'm not sure that Columbia is "Ivy Happy." A significant number of their residents come from state universities in the midwest. This program does, however, tend to attract and recruit residents who are interested in research and academic careers. NYU is not as much geared towards research, and bills itself as a more clinically focused program.

Columbia does have a very impressive grand rounds program.
