I am trying to narrow down where I am going to apply.

I want to do drug research with Pharms or illicits.

I am struggling to narrow down where I am going to apply. I have decent qualifications, Psych BA, GRE-V 166 (700), GRE-Q 155 (700), finishing up my Masters GPA (3.8), Some Research Experience.

Any advice? My Masters Thesis is on Olfaction Lateralization, closest I could get to a neuro-like topic.

I am applying to UF, FSU, UCONN, Vandy, UAB, but I don't know where else or if these programs would really fit me. I have the APA database, just little to no direction.

Thanks

I am no expert on this area, though I admit I'm rather intrigued by it as a possibility for a career for myself.

Having said that, my gut tells me you want to let the POI guide you more than the program. Truthfully, IMO if you go to podunk U but work with Dr Awesome, when you make the next step, that might be more helpful for you. On the other hand, if you're not sure (like 100%- because LOTS of people change their focus once they get into grad school) you're probably better suited to go a safer route of getting into a higher tier program where you'll have more options and support.

As an aside, I've always been impressed by UAB's Clinical Med Psych program. I looked at that program when I started everything.
