I am having trouble figuring out what they are looking for with these questions.
1. How has your background and experience prepared you to interact effectively with individuals who are different from you in their social, cultural or economic perspectives?
2. How are you prepared to interact effectively with individuals from undeserved and/or diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds?

I was thinking about writing how I worked with mentally disabled kids in high school but I was sure if they are considered "different social, cultural, or economic perspective and undeserved and/or diverse social cultural, and economic backgrounds". Also, I wasn't sure if I should write about something in high school. Also, are they looking for a specific experience or more how your life has given you certain perspectives. I would appreciate any input. Thanks

Writing about working with mentally disable kids is a great idea. You definitely had to understand things from another's perspective in order to do that. It's fine that it was in high school. It's a good idea to write about specific experiences in your essays, and then use those specific examples to support the fact that you are able to see things from others' perspectives and that as a PT you will be able to work with patients from all types of backgrounds.

If there is anything you have done while you were in college that you could focus on as well that would be ideal, but I think in this circumstance writing about something in high school would probably be acceptable. I'm not sure if you even need to officially say that it was in high school, just say that you did it. Although of course you can't list high school activities on your PTCAS under extracurriculars.
