PT Temp Pay

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I used to work with a PT that said he was paid $10/hr, but then again that outpatient clinic wasn't very generous at all with anyone's salaries.

I was paid the same on my temp as they offered to pay me after licensure. That was a PRN position.

Yikes...

Just out of curiosity, can anyone enlighten me with how much less you get paid as a PT on temp license? Thank you! 🙂
hi. what is your email? you taking in July?

as an employer, the temporary license is essentially the same as a regular license, it is just temporary. So, the pay should be the same. If you don't pass your exam, there are consequences but when I hire new grads, they get paid the same with the temporary licence as they do with the regular one. That is in MN. there may be differences in other states.

$30/hour on my temp. I'm going in one day a week over the summer for orientation and training. The decreased rate is because of my lower case load, not necessarily because I'm working under a temp.

The pay is the same (at least salary-wise). Or should be the same regardless if you're on a temporary or permanent license. Unless your position (PRN, part-time, full-time, etc) will change when you get your actual license.
