PTCAS Custom Questions from schools

Some of the schools I am applying to require additional questions to be answered through the PTCAS website. Can I e-submit my application prior to answering them so that while I gather my responses they may start processing my application?

Also, How much stock do universities put into these additional questions? I plan to take them seriously of course but I just want to know if they are as important as I think they are.

According to PTCAS instruction,
You will not be able to submit your PTCAS application until you have responded to all mandatory supplemental questions for all of your designated programs.
Your designated programs will not receive your responses to custom questions for your other designated programs, if any.

I have no idea regarding your second question. I wanna know as well🙂
