I went to check my references today and several individuals had been added that I did not send requests to. They happen to be the people I requested observation hours from, so I think there was a glitch in the system. I now have 7 reference requests...I sent PTCAS an email to see if they could fix it but I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

I had the same issue occur they claim they are working on it. They said since the hours and references are linked together this is why there are so many issues occurring.

yup same thing happened to me, I contacted them and they basically told me to sit tight and they're working on a solution ASAP

Same thing here. I called PTCAS and the cust serv rep said it's just a display error that we see on our side, but he also confirmed the other issue PTCAS had earlier when PTs verifying observation hours were sent an email/link requesting a letter of recommendation instead. Just to keep relationships good... I reached out to the PTs who were verifying my observation hours to just let them know about the PTCAS glitch, that I listed them to verify hours only, and that they could disregard any link/email from PTCAS requesting a letter of reference (unless they were actually references of course). 🙂

For anyone happening to read this thread and having a similar problem, DO NOT delete any additional references/observation hours the system creates. I called them today and because the two are linked, deleting a reference request the system may have generated will delete the associated observation hours. They should fix it soon 🙂

Anyone know if this has been fixed?
Have a couple of observation environments I need to be verified

Happened to me to but without the connection to the observation hours. My issue ended up being that the email addresses I was sending to. Their company firewall ended up blocking it completely. I just had to get their personal emails and it was fine for me. You can see if this is an issue for you by entering your personal email as a ptcas reference and then just delete it in your application if you receive the request.
