during my senior year, i worked on a year-long research project that culminated in an honors thesis. Does this count as a pub in the traditional use of the word? My thesis is in the library and has a call number and all that. thank you!

Unless it is in a peer reviewed journal, it is unfortunately not a publication. You can write that you wrote an honors thesis and that it involved x, y, z... but it is not a true publication in the sense of the word.:luck:
