Hi all,
I completed one year of a pediatrics residency and found clinical medicine distasteful. I know that Public Health is often mentioned as an alternative to clinical medicine, but I have no real prior experiences in the field and it would be difficult for me to come across as convincing in an interview or application. How competitive are programs and can you do "rotations in public health" like you do in medical school even after graduation? Right now I'm on leave from my peds program and working in basic science research lab.
