Hi All,

I was just published in a Nature Cell Biology paper as 2nd author.

Question

1) should I update schools I have already submitted secondary to?
2) will schools look at the impact factor? About a 20

Thanks!

Put that spotlight on her face

I would update the school even if was impact factor 0.5

Do you think they would care to look at the impact factor at all? I'm seeing that this is generally higher than most undergrads with publications

I dont think its a big deal, nobody is looking up the impact factor of all the publications that all applicants have. Either they recognize it as a big journal, or they dont.

A) Congrats!!!!
1) Update only those schools that accept updates. Not all do.
2) No...but most scientifically literate Faculty will know that the Nature family of pubs is Major League....like Cleveland Indians/Chicago Cubs major league.
