I have a question...is it worth mentioning being "acknowledged" in a paper? I have two first author publications and one second author pub. Im not sure if mentioning the acknowledgement is tacky/silly?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

IMHO - tacky

You already have 3 pubs, an acknowledgement isn't going to get you any further than those pubs alone.

i would not mention the acknowledgement in your application. sometimes, you can be acknowledged if you donate your tissue samples! your publications have demonstrated that you are capable of research. if i were you, i would use the space to talk about your other achievements.

gluck.
