If we had a publication through research, do we put this under the awards/honor section in the application?

I think it would be more appropriate in the research experience section. I put mine as a separate entry in that section.

I feel like it would be restating the same lab if I were to put it under research experience..

Here is an entry from my app.

I collected data and co-authored a publication in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy on the removal of foreign bodies from the colon with the aid of endoscopic lasers.

I co-authored a research paper that was published in a RDH magazine on tooth regeneration. I listed it under research. Did you put yourself and your co-person as principal investigators??

I just called. He told me to put it under honors as long as I put what journal published the paper...

then what do we put for name of honor? Publication? or title of my paper? but my title is long...

Can I just write "Publication on ________" for title?

He said put: Publication on...and then write as much as you can for the title..

The organization naming you is the journal...
