Impact factors vary by age of the journal, citations and the target audience (and some other factors but trying to keep it simple) and so assigning a "respectable" range is a bit misleading. The journal you aim at will largely depend on the type of research you're conducting.
Most medical school libraries have access to a database called "Journal Citation Reports". This database indexes all journal by impact factor within a respective field.
