Anyone out there has any info on someone has been pulling off from TSU Alternate List?

No at this point. I will wait until Friday then I will call the admissions office.

Has anyone recieved letters at all from TSU? letters that just tell you that you are still on the waiting list? I've realized i never called them to check that they recieved my transcript from thispast semester and now it's just getting me paranoid...

I sent my transcripts, waited for a week and followed with an email. I did not hear back. So I called on the deadline 06/05/06 and confirmed that they had received them.

Yeah! You are right. That is the safest. Since people marry and sometimes still use their maiden names instead of assume their husbands. I think she is Mrs. Davis but I am use to saluting women as Ms.

I was reading your post on "ppl who are on waiting lists" and I noticed that you said your second choice was UH. Did you already say yes to UH? And you said if you were to get into TSU from the waiting list, then you would go to TSU right? good luck! hope you get in, so it will start a chain reaction of maybe me getting into UH 😉

i don't know the amount they started with...but I think they have around 40 right now. I got on the waiting list in May but they might have had one earlier

Nope. I think everything will be settled the day before Summer Academy, which is 10 days away. So, the news will come any day now. Be patient.

I have heard that the summer academy is an opportunity to introduce 1st years to the coursework.

Has anyone heard from TSU? I am still waiting. I am also an out of towner; however, i have an auntie who lives in the houston area through whom I route my letters. I just called her and nothing has come through. Tired of waiting!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I don't know how TSU does it. I was invited for an interview. I called them many times to decline but no one picked up so I left Mrs. Davis a message regarding my withdrawal from the interview list. Anyway, a few weeks later they sent me letters congratulating me for being accepted into TSU 🙄 I called Mrs. Davis again and left a message that I would like to decline my acceptance (even w/o ever interviewed). Even now, they're still sending me info regarding my admission. Don't know if I'm still on the accepted list and taking up seats?!

It is hard to believe what you are saying. TSU as far as I know, interviews everyone before admission is granted. I don't see how you can get in without an interview.

I called earlier this week. Mrs. D. is on vacation until the 5th. I was told someone will call me back. I am still waiting. At some point one has to give up and strategize for next year. Remember, October PCAT is just around the corner.

I am not sure. My take is that decisions have already been made. They are just playing the waiting game to see who will drop out at the last minute. All I will say is for each and everyone of you to be ready, all packed, and when the word comes to report you will be on the go.

This was two summers ago. I believe it was July-ish but I'm not sure.

First note: This WAS the past. This year, I don't think this kind of behavior happens. This year, I see that all students went thru a rigorous and painful process. I am in a hesitant mood to believe this kind of story NOW. However, anything CAN happen under the sun!

Second note: no news yet and ... counting.

Third note to those who are in pharmacy program now: in the past, was there any case of last minute of acceptance, ie, the day before the Fall semester???

Fourth note: Be patient. For how long? Who knows!

Hi guys. I am considering pre-pharm at tsu but would love some insight from current students. I attended tsu in fall 04, didn't do well. I changed my major, left to go to hcc and now considering pharmacy again. I am scared that since i didn't do well the first time, they may look negatively to my transcript this time. For you guys that are waitlisted, do you mind telling me what the pharmacy program is looking for in applicants? I don't know what i would do if i didn't get into a program. 🙂
