Hey guys, I'm currently filling out my AMCAS application.

As most of you probably know, the personal statement section does not allow you to italicize or underline anything. If I have a title that should be italicized (i.e. a book), then what should I do? Just put it in quotes, even though that's incorrect?

I know this a kind of ******ed question, but I'm starting to stress over every little detail.

Hmmm... tough question. Well, I would probably just capitalize the book title. I wouldn't use quotes... those would be blatantly wrong (and since you know better, you wouldn't want someone looking at your personal statement to assume that you DON'T know better). Maybe I am looking too deeply into it... 🙄 🙂

For a book or journal title, I would use all caps (e.g., AMERICAN JOURNAL OF OB/GYN).

For an article or chapter, I'd use quotation marks (e.g., "Reproductive aging: accelerated ovarian follicular development")

italisize it on word and cut and paste it. does that work? i think i remember italisizing something on the amcas app.
