This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
you know it son! i didn't know what to pick as my SDN sn, so i figured i'll go with the always cool "cameljockey" and put some numbers next to it. Sense of humor lacking? yup.

yeah but if ure gonna go w/ stereotypes, cameljockey is a little dated..why not upgrade to "terroristcentral786"?

"terroristcentral786"
LOL
that will get you noticed!

im pretty sure terror has always existed. its an absurd notion "terrorism has started." nonetheless, cameljockey sounds way better.

This country was built by minorities and I'm not just talking about my heritage who came here in the late 1800's early 1900's from eastern Europe, or the many Indian immigrants who make up some of the great physicians we have in this country. This "country" was built by a group of settlers not too long ago. Our country is going through some issues right now just like many others are. I think it would help if we can all put our guards and insecurities down for a second. Any of us who were born here or have became citizens of this country are Americans. I don't care if you are a 4th generation American with a grandfather that served in WW2, or a person with Punjabi heritage, or an Asian American, or whatever. Just realize that we Americans all have a responsibility to keep whats good in this country alive and move away from what is detrimental to our freedoms. Just appreciate that this country you live in far exceeds your personal culture and I say you personal culture because everyone has their own view on their own culture and it is a personal thing. I am not belittling anyone's culture including my own but sometimes we all get to caught up in our own box and forget that our lives and actions actually AFFECT other people. Anyone remember that dream we are all supposed to have? Call me an idealist but that American dream has been there for many and should be there for everyone. Stop being so afraid everyone and travel outside your boxes realize that there are some great things for us all if we all just take the risk of losing a part of how we see things in order to see a greater good. Everyone on this forum and everyone who calls themself American has been put down one time or another, has felt a need to identify with a culturally similar group, and has dealt with adversity! I recently had someone tell me that because I am "white" that I don't know what it's like to be a "minority". I am an American Jew, and just because I don't look it does not mean I haven't been through adversity for my religion or for whatever else. We can all relate to one another because we all have been put through discrimination. I find it funny that we think of African Americans as Black, Caucasians as white, and indians as Brown. I guess it's such a "black and white issue" that we can't even correctly decide our own color. It ain't that black and white people. Wake up everyone and lets try and fix some of these problems that are obviously very prevalent in medical school and in this country.
