nope, I am still waiting.
I called Stevens, she said it would be sent out by the end of Jan/first few days of Feb.
no, I didn't ask about rejection letters. I assume they will be sent out at the same time since Purdue is pretty late in this game, and they have only one week to interview all candidates, don't you think?
What do you mean they only have one week to interview all candidates?

invitation by mail or email?
Why would you apply if you knew you couldn't see yourself there? Sounds like a big waste of time and $50.I got an e-mail for an interview on Monday the 22nd. Too bad I am a Hoosier at heart and cannot see myself at that campus, so I am declining. So great news for one of you out there.
Also Hoosiers👍 are gonna beat Purdue👎 66-60 this Thursday.
Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers.

Also nice job on that prediction.
I tried to call Ms. Stevens today. She was not there, and the secretary picked up the phone. I don't think the answers were clear and helpful, but for me and those waiting, she said they sent out mails today and tomorrow. What can I say? Hopefully they are not rejection letters, huh?
When I called I found the secretary to be extremely rude and unhelpful. With my experience at other schools, the admissions office has been willing to go above and beyond to do anything necessary to make you happy as an applicant. Completely turned me off of the school, and I have no desire to go there now whatsoever.
Seems like just about everyone says this, I experienced it too and played a minor role in me not choosing to go there. When I called I found the secretary to be extremely rude and unhelpful. Also if anyone has any specific questions about the interview process, video recording part, essay, etc post it here. I was waitlisted at purdue 2 years ago, ultimately accepted but went elsewhere.
I would check the interview feedback part of the forum for specific questions, but really it will vary based on who interviews you. The interview is very typical of what you will experience at other schools just the faculty member trying to see how you think on the spot and your interpersonal skills. If you get the the interview phase of the admission process they pretty much are saying you are qualified EC and gpa wise and those things don't play much of a role after that, it just used to narrow down 1500 applicants to 265 they interview or whatever number it is this year. Having a good interview is a must at Purdue imo, they will say its the top 160 qualified overall but even if you have a 4.0 and ECs out to wazoo you probably won't get accepted with a poor interview. The video recording part doesn't play much of a role as far as acceptance/decline goes but is mainly for people with English as a second language or not very articulate in general. Most likely they won't even watch that portion unless its noted during the interview that the faculty member thought there might be some issues and then they will use it.
For the video recording part you just read a drug monograph off a labtop while a webcam records you, pretty much like the commercials you see on TV. Then you click next and you have to answer a generic question not related to pharmacy like whats your favorite book and why, or whats your favorite television show and why. Essay was similar to the second part of the video recording where you just answer a generic question not related to pharmacy in essay form.
Everyone has to do the recording portion, but it won't be looked at in many cases unless you fall into the two cases i mentioned above. However, you won't know it they look at it or not, so it's best to be prepared to do well on it. For the interview part, I do highly recommend you look at your pharmcas information and supplemental app information as they will have it in front of them(the interviewers) and will derive most of their questions based on what you wrote/did/performed etc.Thank you for your precise advices, I greatly appreciate it. I have an interview there on the 26th and yes English is my second language. I have been here 15 years but I'm still afraid of the interview. I am not sure if they will be requiring me to do the video recording part but this is good to be prepared for. I want to do well on the interview and be fully prepared. I just want to ask you when they interviewed you did they already read your application ahead of time? I had another interview at a different school recently and seemed like they didn't know anything about me. Thanks..

The interview wasn't bad at all. There is a student panel before the interview where 2 current PharmD students talk with ~4 interviewees for about 1/2 hour just answering questions about Purdue and pharmacy in general. That made me feel a lot less nervous! My interviewers were really nice and didn't ask anything other than the usual questions. The interview was closed file so be prepared to answer: tell me about yourself, what are you involved in, how have you explored pharmacy. Just the general questions really since they aren't going to have that info in front of them. Try not to stress too much about it and Good Luck!![]()
thanks dude! good luck to you and everyone! =)
Hello everyone, I want to know exactly how long the interview will take? My flight is at 6pm. I'm afraid i may not have enough time to get back to the airport. 🙁
