😕 What is you take on purses to the medical school interview?
What is appropriate attire for females?

Tank top and mini skirt, unless "you"(matching grammar) is fat. Seriously, if you really have to ask, you should wear a suit and a purse is fine.

Really, my post was intended for females, but "you is"(matching grammar) fine for caring enough to respond.

I will skip the purse unless I need it on that particular day. You should check out the pre-allo forum. They have several threads dedicated to this subject! 😀

I brought a small shoulder purse and a leather binder with paper in case I wanted to write down something. I used it for writting down email addresses of some of the people I interviewed with and the student that ate lunch with us.

A small purse is fine, although you really may not want to lug it around. I put everything in my coat and carried a leather portfolio to write down qs and info. Your attire for the interview should be conservative and polished. Almost every female at my interviews wore a black suit. I did not, but that was purposeful. Good luck!!

my sister does corporate hiring (and firing) for a large corporation and she said ix nay on the purse. she bought me a black shoulder bag, i don't know what you'd call it-- it wasn't a briefcase, but it was much more professional looking than a purse. that said, my interviewers were in casual clothes with snowboots on, and probably woudn't have cared if i was wearing a tent. oh well- at least i have a cute bag to take to class now. 😛
