What is the typical turnaround time for UMDNJ-SOM if you're deemed a "competitive applicant". Getting kind of antsy... it's been about a month since I've been complete... I'm gettin antsy at all the schools, maybe i'm just neurotic but this waiting is killing me.

What is it with everyone being a mod suckup in this forum? Nate can do his own job... If he had a prob with this, he is perfectly capable of closing it, redirecting it (in this case to himself)...

Addendum: I apologize if I shoudl have done this, Nate. But I really didn't think it was a gigantic detail. It was kind of an open question anyway i.e. I'm sure there are other UMDNJ-SOMers in this forum who are equally qualified to answer. You happen to be the only one that I know of specifically...

Poor DrMax! Take a deep breath and relax before you have an MI! You have one acceptance already and I am sure that it will be fine. I have confidence in you. I am sure it will work out.

Yeah i'm just starting to get really nervous... it's been about 4-6 weeks that I've been complete at most of my top choices... and not a peep.

With all the caffeine I'm taking in right now I woudln't be surprised if I had an MI. Micro test in 2 hrs... blah! Damn monday exams... I never study enough.

You are right though.. there are a lot of people that would kill to have one acceptance to a US Accredited medical school. I shoudl count my blessings and remind myself that WVSOM is a great school and its an honor to have been accepted there. Regrettably, there is a disconnect between my anxst (sp?) and my transcendental views.

LOL! I am sure it will be fine, just cut back on the caffeine. We are both very lucky to have been accepted somewhere so early in the process. Just think about everyone who is still waiting and obsessing! This is truly the most stressful process I have ever gone through. Good luck on your micro test!

Oh I do anything but suck up to mods, but thanks for that; Nate and I go way back in sharing different opinions on, well, pretty much everything. However, a few of us, myself included, still attempt to reach out and help people. When we see threads opened in the wrong areas or answers that can be easily gotten by using the little search function at the top of the page, we post it. It just seems a huge waste of time to make a thread over something that could have been a pm. Maybe I am wrong, but that is my belief.

They interview all the way through May I believe so don't give up hope. I am not exactly sure how it will work this year with the new Dean but in the past people have gotten in all the way up to the deadline (people in my class).

I suggest asking the question in the thread topic rather than addressing it to a specific member. This thread is a good one because I am sure there other applicants with this question as I have answered it before.
