1.A pacient bites down rapidly on unexpected hard surface while chewing.. this result in a cessation of motor unit in jaw closing muscles by causing stimulation :

1 Muscle spindles
2 Jaw-opining muscles
3 Peredontal mechanoreceptor

2 Glucose can be made from each of the following substance ….EXEPT

1 Lactate
2 Fatty acids
3 Glycerol
4 Pyruvete
5 Fructose

3 Which of the following statement best describe strength of cardiac muscles contraction

1 Decreased when extracellular Ca is increase
2 Increased when extracellular Ca is increase

4 The process requiring a membrane and nonpentrating solutes (e.g. protein) discribe as
- Osmosis
-Diffusion
-Facillated diffusion

5 Which of the following statement best describe GTP-binding protein (G protein )?

-Are important component of steroid hormone signal trasnsduction
-Are tightly bound to adenylate cyclase
-Usually in activate protein kinas C
-Are membrane protein

6 Each of the following occur during prolong starvation Except :
-Circulating T4 is converted to T3
-Ketoasidosis develops progressively
-Insulin level are depressed
-Primary fuel is glycogen

1 Muscle spindles
2 Jaw-opining muscles ----answer not sure
3 Peredontal mechanoreceptor

even chain fatty acid doesn't, but odd chain makes it.

i am not sure about answers. if u have pls can u post?

2 Glucose can be made from each of the following substance ….EXEPT

1 Lactate -->pyruvate (lactate dehydrogenase) -->gluconeogenesis
2 Fatty acids these can only be made into acetyl-CoA which can't be made into glucose either
3 Glycerol --> glycerol-3-p, DHAP, gluconeogenesis-->glucose
4 Pyruvete -->gluconeogenesis
5 Fructose --> i think this is just an isomer of glucose no?

3 Which of the following statement best describe strength of cardiac muscles contraction

1 Decreased when extracellular Ca is increase
2 Increased when extracellular Ca is increasemore calcium = stronger contraction b/c more calcium comes in a binds troponin (i think??)

4 The process requiring a membrane and nonpentrating solutes (e.g. protein) discribe as
- Osmosis
-Diffusion
-Facillated diffusion
if the "nonpenetrating solute" can't penetrate the membrane on it's own it needs a companion something to take it across.

5 Which of the following statement best describe GTP-binding protein (G protein )?

-Are important component of steroid hormone signal trasnsduction
-Are tightly bound to adenylate cyclase
-Usually in activate protein kinas C
-Are membrane protein alpha subunit binds GTP, separates from beta and gamma, activates stuff, all part of a signal system on the cell membrane

6 Each of the following occur during prolong starvation Except :
-Circulating T4 is converted to T3 this is constantly happening
-Ketoasidosis develops progressively
-Insulin level are depressed
-Primary fuel is glycogen
