i just took my third CDM Qr test and was wondering how to do this. i thought i knew how to but apparently not lol.

(x-2)(x-4)<0 solve for x.
(x+5)(x-3) _>*its supposed to be greater/equal to* 0

I took the two barrons practice tests ang got 21 and 22 on Qr but the last 3 CDM tests i got 18s. My exam is in about a month and im trying to do one Qr test a day....should i be worried....i hope i can pull a 20+ on the real thing.

Thanks for the help anyways.

Find x so it equals 0. Then draw the number line. For the first one x = 2 and 4.

<-------2--------4------>

Before 2 plug it in (say -100) and you have (-) * (-) = (+) so that's wrong.
Between 2 and 4 (say 3) you have (+) * (-) = (-) so that's right.
After 4 (say +100) you have (+) * (+) = (+) so that's wrong.

So 2 < x < 4 is your answer. Remember you don't use equals here.

Do that for the second one.
