six math destroyer test 5

value x in equation 5 x Log3^x= 5

the 3 is smaller, so i assumed its being raised to x ?? i dont know

it says to divide by 5
where log3^x =1 so the value of x is 3?? WTF??

help please and an explanation of what is going on with log bulchit

thanks

do you mean log(base three?) because if so log base 3 X would be three.

and which version of the destroyer... I can't find it in the 2011.

If I understand it correctly, it's is a pretty straightforward question. The 3 is the base (we usually use log base 10).

5 log3(x) = 5

log3(x) = 1

since 3 is the base and logA(x) = y is the same as x = A^Y

x = 3^1

x = 3

If you still don't see it, think about it this way....

log(1) = 0 and 1 = 10^0
log(2) = 0.301 and 10^0.301 = 2

and 3, 4, etc
